The tunnel season in Krefeld is open! At the exciting autumn market on the gallop racing track, Mayor Gisela Klaer cut the legendary Königshofer Altbierstollen at the weekend, which has been baked continuously by master chief Rudolf Weißert since 2007. This masterpiece not only conquered the heart of the Krefeld, but also received the gold award of the baker's guild every year-and the next one is expected on November 23. The sales figures speak for themselves: Around 100 tunnels found new owners within a few hours, and part of the proceeds flows to the "Game without satchel" initiative!

The Königshofer old beer stollen consists of a unique mix of whole grain flour, dried fruits and a secret ingredient: two days marinated in the best old beer. No wonder that the specialty has now been shipped to impressive 28 countries - the latest customer: Malta! The tunnel is available in several Krefeld shops and at the Linner Christmas market.
