Surfpark fight in Krefeld: judgment from Stade could pave away!

The Higher Administrative Court (OVG) Lüneburg confirmed the construction stop of a planned surf park in Stade on Wednesday and declared the corresponding development plan ineffective. This judgment is considered trend -setting by the opponents of the surf park in Krefeld. "The verdict is a victory for all surf park opponents and trend -setting for us in Krefeld," said Andrea Weidig from the Biene Citizens' Initiative.

At the same time, the managing director of the surf park developer Elakari, Andreas Niedergesässässer, sees the decision critically. He rejected the arguments of the Krefeld opponents as inappropriate and called it "reprehensible when you transfer stade to Krefeld". The immediate consequences of this judgment could also affect the plans for the Krefeld project location. For more information about this topic, see the current reports on rp-online.de .
