Suspected smuggler stopped: Federal Police revealed insertion at the Europabrücke

The European border crossing between Neurüdnitz and Siekierki recently focused on when federal police officers revealed seven people. The campaign took place on Wednesday evening and aims to prevent unauthorized entry.

Three different groups of people, including five Syrian men, an Iraqi citizen and a Somalier, were checked by the emergency services. They could not show any valid entry documents for Germany. The Polish border protection discovered a 47-year-old Turkish man in the immediate vicinity who is suspected of having introduced people.

The federal police immediately initiated investigations against the alleged smuggler. The accusation is on the intersection of foreigners, which is punished as a crime in Germany. The seven men were brought to the office for further processing and investigations were initiated.

After the examinations have been completed, five of the people were returned to Poland and handed over to border protection. The two unaccompanied minors, on the other hand, were brought to a youth facility in Frankfurt (Oder) to be looked after there.

This campaign shows the determined attitude of the federal police to prevent illegal entry and combat smuggling activities. Cooperation with Polish border protection is of essential importance to ensure security at the limits.
