Explosion in Wetzlar: Café Detonation shakes the pedestrian zone!

In the Wetzlar pedestrian zone there was a deafening bang at night when an explosive explosive device detonated in front of a popular café. Fortunately, nobody was injured, but the force of the explosion damaged parts of the building. The police are currently looking for at least one unknown perpetrator who ignited the explosive device and then fled. Eyewitnesses reported on the loud crash that could still be heard for miles.

Fast explosive experts from the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) were on site to assess the situation. The residents of the affected buildings were immediately evacuated, but were later able to return to their apartments. It remains unclear whether the explosion was a targeted attack, because the investigation is still underway.
