Alcoholic drivers causes chaos in Bad Bergzabern

Alcohol at the wheel - Safety is in Bad Bergzabern

Last weekend, two traffic incidents occurred in Bad Bergzabern, which once again illustrate the dangers of alcohol at the wheel. In both incidents, the drivers were alcoholic and therefore not only lost their suitability for driving, but also their driver's licenses.

On Saturday afternoon, a 63-year-old driver noticed through his unsafe driving style when he was traveling on Kapeller Strasse. A blood sample resulted in an alcohol value of over 2 per thousand, which is a clear danger to themselves and other road users. His driver's license was immediately moved in to avoid further risks.

The second incident occurred in the early morning hours of the following day when a 30-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle in Poststrasse and crashed into a house wall. It was also under the influence of alcohol and caused property damage. His plan to change a flat tire was stopped by the police, who also ordered a blood sample and temporarily confiscated his driver's license.

The Bad Bergzabern police inspection warns for caution and emphasizes the importance of sitting soberly at the wheel. Alcohol consumption and driving are not a compatible combination and not only endanger your own life, but also that of other road users. Consistent controls and quick intervention prevented worse things in both cases.

If you want to be on the safe side and want to act responsibly, you should always get going sober. Because the safety of all road users comes first.
