Bridge for integration: Language agents in Landau are actively helping!

The city of Landau and the Southern Wine Route district have set up a central point of contact for language investigation in order to facilitate access to authorities, doctors and schools with little knowledge of German. As part of the newly launched pilot project "Language Mittlung -Pfalz" and in collaboration with the educational provider, professional investigators are active in order to reduce language barriers and promote participation in society.

"Return to the support of compatriots is often common. Now we professionalize this offer," explained those responsible for the project. In the future, institutions, educational institutions and private individuals can request suitable language mediators. The initiative is under the patronage of the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry for Family, Women, Culture and Integration (MFFKI) and aims to support the integration of refugees and immigrants.
