Truck drivers in the Barbarossa tunnel asked to clear the road

Dangerous situation in the Barbarossa tunnel: Parking becomes a risk to road users

Today, a worrying incident was reported in the Barbarossa tunnel towards Pirmasens. A truck had decided to park there, which gave way to parts of his vehicle dangerously into the road. The Annweiler police station discovered the incident and immediately intervened to ensure the safety of road users.

The driver of the truck stated that they only wanted to take a break. But the way he did this in the tunnel was a considerable risk. In order to defuse the situation, the driver had to pay a security deposit of 140 euros and leave the tunnel immediately.
