Vespa community strengthens international connections through motorsport
Last Saturday, a group of passionate scooter drivers from different countries in the SIP Scootershop in Landsberg combined their enthusiasm for the Vespa cross race "Matscho Karatscho". This event took place for the third time and not only attracted drivers, but also numerous visitors who enjoyed the exciting races and the festive atmosphere.

with participants from Germany, Italy, Austria, France and Switzerland offered the race an impressive picture of diversity and cultural exchange. Henri Mouries from Mormoiron, who had the longest journey at around 1,000 kilometers, explained his passion for this sport: "As a child, I was a BMX driver and participating in this event was a matter close to my heart." More than just a competition, it was also an opportunity to meet like -minded people and make new acquaintances.

The racetrack itself, over 470 meters long, offered numerous challenges with pendulum, water ditch and steep curve. The drivers went to the different classes and fought for the best times. Stefan Göllner from North Rhine-Westphalia was able to achieve the day victory on a modified Vespa GTS 300 with an impressive time of 55.471 seconds, while local hero Max Heigl left early due to technical difficulties.
community, enjoyment and resource conservation
The passion for scooters was noticeable throughout the event. In addition to the competition, community and conviviality were in the foreground. After the races, all participants and spectators celebrated the gang of the Vespa community together with pizza and cold drinks. Ralf Jodl, CEO of SIP Scootershop, emphasized the importance of the event: "Vespa connects people across borders and promotes a collegial atmosphere within the driver."

The appearance of the motorsports not only impressed the approximately 1,000 spectators present, but also brought the SIP Scootershop team to be happy. Racing director Jesco Schmidt said: "Everything went perfectly. The positive feedback from the driver shows that the focus and the community are in the foreground." The lack of serious injuries, apart from a light rib bruise, is also considered a success.
The "Matscho Karatscho" has shown again this year how important these events are for promoting the community and motorsport. It is clearly clear: the Vespa is much more than a vehicle - it is a symbol of the connection and joy for scooter fans from all over the world.
