Diepholz pedestrian zone: owners fight for vacancy!

In the Diepholz pedestrian zone, several shops are empty and the owners of the real estate are concerned. Thomas and Ingo Hoffmann, who own the building at Langen Straße 47, want to enliven the city center, but not at all costs. Despite regular inquiries from interested parties who often aim at exotic food or snack bars, the shop remains unpleasant because it is designed for textile transactions. The Hoffmann brothers emphasize that the financing is often a hurdle, since potential tenants are not willing to bear necessary renovation costs, which leads to a termination of the negotiations.

Optimism, on the other hand, comes from Werner Steinemann, who has the former C&A building in the pedestrian zone. He reports two specific inquiries and is confident that the situation will improve in the coming months. However, Steinemann rejects inquiries from one-euro shops and similar shops, since he believes that such concepts in the city center harm. Instead, he searches for suitable tenants from the retail and services areas. The Hoffmann brothers also think about selling their property, but wish buyers who want to invest in Diepholz in the long term. Further information can be found here .
