Bernd Gericke, 81 years old, and his family - including his children Sylvia and Daniel and his granddaughter Sophia - worked intensively on the redesign. "After my wife's death, we thought about what we can do with the building," explains the senior. This thought led to the construction of the event location, which is now invitingly set up and can be used for various celebrations.

The new event location offers space for large gatherings: a spacious party room with a counter, an area for catering and a cozy living room create a pleasant atmosphere for events of all kinds. There is also access to the garden with barbecues and playgrounds for children, which particularly appeals to families. The name "Herzogs" is not only creatively chosen, it also bears a deeper meaning. He recalls Helga Herzog-Gericke, who as a "little good soul" shaped the campsite. Sophia Gericke, the close cooperation with her grandfather and the visualization of her ideas is of great importance for her family and shows the intergenerational spirit of the project. "It brings me joy to shape and get the best out of tradition," says the 17-year-old.

The family plans to add further attractions for the event location. The integration of a shooting range with leisure activities such as billiards, darts and kickers is planned. First of all, however, the focus is on renting out the premises, which already looks promising: a 60-person group has already registered for the coming year.

"We are prepared for all eventualities," emphasizes Daniel Gericke, who sees handling in the location with the guests as a priority.
