Traditional commemoration: Neuenrade honors city founder Graf Engelbert III.

On Thursday, November 7th, the city of Neuenrade traditionally drives to the grave of its city founder Count Engelbert III. From the mark in Fröndenberg. On this special day, the count's name day, the city representatives lay down a wreath in the collegiate church. Despite the deep memory, the count's exact grave remains a mystery, because the exact location information is unknown. Historian Dr. Christiane Todrowski explained that Engelbert was buried in a simple grave, while today's Tumba actually refers to his grandfather.

The ceremony begins at 2:50 p.m. at the Neuenrad train station, followed by a prayer, speeches by the two mayors and the wreath laying. A sociable get -together in the "Zum Margrave" restaurant is planned for the evening. Registrations are possible by November 4, the participation fee is 10 euros and includes the train journey and meals. Further Details can be found on localaldirekt.de
