Optimization of mobile phone supply in the Leipzig district: Telekom extends 5G coverage
The improved mobile phone supply in the Leipzig district has a positive impact on the local community. Thanks to the expansion of three new locations with 5G in the past two months, the region has a better cover and more bandwidth. This is particularly noticeable along the A72 motorway and the Saxony-West railway lines.
Deutsche Telekom now has 123 locations in the Leipzig district. With a budget coverage of around 98 percent and 29 other planned locations by 2025, the company shows its commitment to a nationwide mobile phone supply.
In order to further promote mobile phone expansion, Telekom is dependent on cooperation with municipalities and owners in order to build new locations. Interested people who want to rent areas for roof or mast locations can contact the German radio tower to explore opportunities for cooperation.
Telekom continuously relies on the expansion of its mobile network and plans around 1,500 new locations a year to cover the increasing need for bandwidth. The availability of mobile communications in individual areas can be checked at www.telekom.de/netz expansion.
The expansion of the mobile phone network in the district of Leipzig represents an important step towards a nationwide digital infrastructure. The improved mobile phone supply contributes to networking and communication in the region and supports people in their everyday life and their work.
