Again and again the Lake Constance surprises with tragic incidents that shake the entire Lake Constance area. In June, two men's corpses were discovered within a few hours, which for a long time represented a puzzle for the investigators. But now the identity of the second dead seems to have been clarified.

The mysterious deaths on Lake Constance

On June 22nd, the discovery of a lifeless body on the German side of Lake Constance caused a stir. The 79-year-old missing from Chur in Switzerland was discovered by a boat driver and recovered by the Austrian water rescue. The German authorities took over the investigation, but do not assume a third -party fault.

Just a few hours later, three kayakers between Hard and Lindau came across another body in the water. The autopsy again showed that the man did not live through external influences.

The State Police Directorate of Vorarlberg now announced that the identity of the second dead could be determined by means of DNA comparison. It is an 83-year-old man from Chur who has been missing since May 2021. At least this puzzle seems to be solved.
