Holm plans strong AfD election campaign 2025: An attempt to stop the traffic lights!
Waren/Müritz, Deutschland - AfD state chief Leif-Erik Holm plans to lead the party in 2025 as the top candidate to the Bundestag election campaign. At a party event in Waren/Müritz, he announced that he would apply for the first list position on the state party conference in Neubrandenburg on November 23. This means a change for Holm, which in the last elections in 2017 and 2021 cited the AfD country list and was able to move into parliament. Unlike before, he wants to compete in constituency 12, Schwerin-Ludwigslust-Parchim instead of in Vorpommern-Rügen.
Holm was optimistic about the recent successes of the AfD in state elections in East Germany and strives to bring the party to the Bundestag with other MPs in order to replace the current government coalition. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in particular, he wants to make the AfD the strongest strength, supportive of the positive results in the European and local elections in June. Despite his ambitions, a survey shows that Holm takes the last place in the political performance assessment, while he has reached 77 percent at the level of awareness, behind Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) with 95 percent.
