Young scholarship holder from Segeberg starts a new educational trip!

The 17-year-old Ani Abgaryan from the Segeberg district was happy to receive her certificate as the new scholarship holder of the start-up foundation in the Hansemuseum Lübeck. In the next three years, workshops and seminars in areas such as personal development, career orientation and social commitment will be promoted. Together with two other young people from the Segeberg and Stormarn districts, it is one of the new scholarship holders of this nationwide unique program for equal opportunities from the foundation with a migration background.

The scholarships include an annual educational allowance of 1000 euros and a laptop to help young people develop their skills. Minister of Education Karin Prien (CDU) praised the Initiative and emphasized the importance of this funding for the personal development of the participants. A total of over 180 young people with a migration background are launched in the new program nationwide, while 4,000 young people have benefited from the Start Foundation since 2002.
