Orange Bank in Lüchow: A sign against violence on women!

In a powerful sign against gender -specific violence, the police station Lüchow has received a bright orange bank. In an official handover on October 22, 2024, representatives of the victim aid office Lüneburg presented the bank to Police Councilor Niklas Botsch. Botsch explained that this bank should not only invite you to rest, but also serve as a stilt of solidarity for victims of violence. "We want to encourage those affected to seek help," said his clear words.

The bank is part of a nationwide campaign by the Niedersachsen Foundation, which have already been set up in several institutions, including district courts. Each bank bears the striking sign "No place for violence" and provides information about support offers using QR code. Another bank will be handed over to the Uelzen police commissioner in November. The campaign aims to sustainably raise awareness of the problem of violence against women and girls and to offer help. Further information can be found on www.presseportal.de .
