Hears of sea rescue: A graphic novel about the misery in the Mediterranean
in the middle of the night, when the darkness lay like a heavy coat on the Mediterranean, there was no moment of calm. Alarm bells ringed: a double -storey wooden boat, overloaded with 400 desperate people, was in high danger! The captain of the Sea-Watch 3 tried to get help-but Italy, Malta and Tunisia looked away! A nearby cargo ship ignored the panicked emergency calls and was not careful about it. A race against time began!
These breathtaking and at the same time terrifying reports come from Adrian Pourviseh, a brave man who was part of the crew of the Sea-Watch 3 . His experiences during the rescue missions are recorded in his graphic novel " the shimmering of the lake " - an urgent report on the horror of Europe's external borders.
