new bakery branch in Mainz opened
The well-known Hessian bakery chain Schäfer recently opened its first branch in Mainz. This new business, including Café, is located on the site of the former Wiatr car dealers
To make room for the café, the former car dealership, which was closed since the end of 2023, was demolished. The modern branch was then created in the same place. The café has 45 cozy seats inside and an additional 48 places on the inviting terrace. There are around 30 parking spaces available for customers who come by car.
The ceremonial opening took place last Friday. On this day and the following weekend there were attractive special offers for all visitors, including the popular "full bag", filled with a diverse selection of fresh baked goods as well as delicious snacks and hot drinks. From next Monday, coupons will be distributed to give customers the opportunity to get to know the diverse range better.
The bakery attaches particular importance to the fact that 60 percent of the baked goods are freshly baked on site. A spokeswoman emphasized: "We would like to make sure that our products such as gold alarm or traditional rolls are never older than three hours when they are sold in our branches." Six committed employees are currently working in the new branch.
Although this is the first branch of Schäfer in Mainz, the bakery chain in the region is already well established. In addition to other locations in Wiesbaden, Rüsselsheim, Bingen, Oppenheim and Alzey, the company also plans to open other branches in Mainz and Rheinhessen. The press office emphasizes: "We are actively looking for other interesting locations and land for rent and for sale."
