Onduidelijk over de verzonken auto in de Rijn in de buurt van Mainz blijft!

Op zondagochtend ontdekte een attente getuige een auto die in het water in de Rijn in de buurt van Mainz reed en meldde het aan de politie. Four days later, on the morning of October 24, the small car of the Kia brand was recovered by a special ship. Divers had attached recovery ropes to the vehicle while a crane pulled the car to the shore. The shipping on the Rhine had to be temporarily stopped during the salvage campaign.

The Mainz police are now investigating how the car got into the Rhine. Apparently, the open windows suggest that it may have been deliberately sunk.
