Mainz (ots) - In ZDF there will be major changes in the management of several state studios from November 2024. This restructuring brings new faces and fresh wind to the broadcaster's reporting. The ZDF editor-in-chief Bettina Schausten emphasizes the importance of this change and is convinced that the new management members will continue to journalistic quality and diversity.
From November 1, 2024, Eva Schiller will take over the management of the ZDF state studio Bayern in Munich. Schiller, who has headed the Baden-Württemberg ZDF state studio since 2019, follows Stefan Leifert, who took over the editorial team of the "Today Journal" in the summer. Eva Schiller has a lot of experience because she worked as a correspondent in the ZDF foreign studio in Vienna.

Nicola Albrecht, which has been running the ZDF state studio in Brandenburg since August 2020, will be leading the ZDF correspondent position in New York from January 1, 2025. Here she follows Johannes Hano, who is now heading the ZDF studio in Southeast Asia. Albrecht is still an experienced journalist; She has already worked as a studio manager in Tel Aviv and was active as a correspondent in Beijing. Their activity includes a variety of reports from war and crisis areas, which underlines their expertise in global reporting.
Kai Niklasch will succeed Nicola Albrecht in Potsdam. The current head of the ZDF studio Bremen has worked in Bremen since 2014 and also has experience from the ZDF European studio in Brussels and from the capital studio in Berlin. He will see his move to Brandenburg as an opportunity to bring his extensive journalistic experience in a new context.
The change of the three experienced correspondents send a strong signal via the realignment within the ZDF. The willingness of the broadcaster to place experienced members in key positions shows the effort to deliver relevant and concise messages at both national and international level.
