Lohra in Star Wars fever: Charity event inspires young and old!

On Saturday, October 26th, the community center in Lohra turned into an intergalactic stage for a spectacular charity event that made the hearts of Star Wars fans beat faster. Mayor Karina Schlemper-Latzel was enthusiastic about the hustle and bustle in which imperial storm troops, Jedi master and bounty hunter met to collect donations for the local kindergartens and primary school. The event was organized by Karlheinz Schuhmacher, who invited the Cosplayer community to his home community.

Visitors had the opportunity to be photographed with iconic figures from the film series and even participate in workshops for lightsy learning training, led by experienced trainers of the Saber Academy International. The event was a complete success: a total of 2,023 euros were collected for the kindergartens and the elementary school, while an additional donation of 3,146 euros was handed over to the Marburg children's clinic.
