Traffic chaos on BAB 19: Aquaplaning brings SUV drivers down!

Yesterday two dramatic traffic accidents on the BAB 19 towards Rostock, Höhe Dobbin-Linstow, caused excitement. Heavy rain and aquaplaning-threatening conditions meant that a 44-year-old German with his Hyundai SUV lost control of his vehicle around 11:10 a.m. and crashed against the middle-class plank. The car came to a standstill in the fast lane, fortunately the driver contracted only minor injuries and was brought to the KMG Clinic in Güstrow.

The force of the impact caused a considerable property damage of 15,000 euros each on both vehicles involved, which were no longer ready to drive and had to be towed. During the clean -up work, the BAB 19 was temporarily closed on one side, which led to traffic disruptions. An event that impressively shows how dangerous the road can be in adverse weather conditions!
