on October 4, 2024, a traffic accident in Eggesin occurred at 2:15 p.m., in which two people were slightly injured. A 36-year-old who was traveling with his Seat on Ueckermünder Straße wanted to turn left into Goetheweg. A subsequent driver of a Mercedes-Benz noticed this too late and crashed into the waiting car.

The driver of the Seat and a 16-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospitals to Ueckermünde and Pasewalk. The Mercedes-Benz was no longer ready to drive after the collision, and there was considerable damage to property of around 25,000 euros. Due to the accident, Ueckermünder Straße had to be completely blocked for about an hour.
