Cable theft in Güstrow: 39-year-old caught in the act!

On Saturday afternoon, September 28th, the Federal Police Inspection Rostock was alerted together with the state police. The reason: a burglary alarm at the former signal box in Güstrow-Priemerburg. Thanks to quick response, the officials arrived in time and surprised a 39-year-old German who was caught by wanting to steal cable rolls. These were already prepared for the removal.

The suspect not only confessed this act, but also a theft series that was previously committed in the same place. Because of these serious allegations, the Rostock district court ordered a search of its living rooms. Criminal proceedings against the man were initiated for commercial theft, and the investigation continues.
