Neubrandenburg mourns the loss of Rainer Prachtl: a life full of faith and commitment
Neubrandenburg, Deutschland - In a moving ceremony, numerous mourners from Rainer Prachtl, the first President of the Landtag President of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, said goodbye on Wednesday, which had died unexpectedly on October 12 at the age of 74. The Catholic Church in Neubrandenburg became a place of commemoration, where Auxiliary Bishop Horst Eberlein donated comfort and hope in his sermon. He reminded of Prachtl's commitment and his deep connection to faith while the song "May the street come together" touched the hearts of those present.
politicians such as Birgit Hesse and Philipp Amthor as well as many citizens from Neubrandenburg took part in the funeral service to pay the popular citizen the last honor. Prachl was also honored internationally: a friend from Israel sang a peace song in Jerusalem in honor of the deceased.
