Beach chairs disappear: Last sun in Warnemünde before winter
In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the beach chairs on the Baltic Sea must be dismantled by October 15 at the latest. On the coast of the district and the Hanseatic city of Rostock, the return transport of the popular seating furniture is already in full swing. Landlord Matthias Treichel removed around 200 beach chairs in Warnemünde on Tuesday and plans to leave its last 60 to 70 baskets until the weekend, as nice weather is predicted on Saturday. After that, these baskets are also broken down on time. The mining is not only for legal reasons, but also due to the changeable weather that other landlords have already prompted to obtain their baskets early.
According to the law, the six months after October 15 to the end of March apply as a storm flood season, which is why the beaches must be cleared. www.ndr.de reported on the ongoing activities on the beaches.
