Burglars strike in Darmstadt - police are looking for witnesses!

On Friday evening, March 21st, two single -family houses in the street in the Weed in South Hesse were hit by previously unknown perpetrators. The burglars passed through a window and a door into the houses between 7 and 8 p.m. and ransacked them in search of valuables. Then they disappeared in an unknown direction. It is currently unclear whether the criminals could actually make prey. The criminal police have started the investigation and are looking for information from residents or witnesses.

The police appeal to everyone to take the highest safety precautions when leaving their apartments. Doors and windows should always be closed, even if you are only gone. Special caution is advised because tilted windows can be easily opened by burglars. The security warnings also include never to deposit the key in hidden places and not to inform social media about absences. Suspicious observations should be reported to the police immediately.
