Mega fair on Lake Constance: family festival with a Ferris wheel and attractions!

From November 7th to 11th, 2025, Lindau on Lake Constance will be transformed into a true mecca for fair lovers. In a picturesque setting right in front of the harbor entrance, the lights of the rides, the tempting scent of cotton candy and the tempting smells of bratwurst and roasted almonds invite visitors to take an extensive stroll. The fair, which this year takes place from Friday to Tuesday, is no longer an insider tip and attracts thousands of people to the city every year. This is reported by the Schwäbische, which describes the event as a mixture of folk festival, amusement park and grocer's market.

In total, around 140 vendors and 60 rides will be represented at the fair. Highlights include an impressive 35 meter high Ferris wheel with a magnificent view over Lake Constance and the Alps, as well as the popular chain airplane “Alpenflug”, which is positioned near the historic Mangturm. New this year is the fast-paced “Avenger,” which impresses with its spectacular spins and lighting effects. The offering is varied: bumper cars, children's carousels, throwing and shooting galleries as well as numerous snack stands ensure that there is something for everyone.

Grocery market and experiences for the whole family

The Krämermarkt in particular, which winds through the quaint old town streets all the way to Reichsplatz, is an attraction in itself. Here visitors can discover handmade hats, scented soaps and many other products. The fair has a long tradition: it has been part of the Lindau Autumn since 1652 and is historically known as a shopping opportunity after All Saints' Day, as the Nordbayerische shows.

The opening times are just as generous as the offerings: the grocer's market is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the rides run until 9:45 p.m. A special treat is the shopping Sunday on November 9th, when the shops also attract visitors to the fair between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Arrival and family day

The journey is easy and comfortable. Whether by bus, train or Vorarlberg Lines ships, the city is easy to reach. For younger visitors, the fair ends on Tuesday, November 11th with a family day with reduced fares. An experience not to be missed!

Take the opportunity to immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of the fair! Visit Lindau and let yourself be enchanted by the numerous attractions, the colorful market hustle and bustle and the culinary delicacies. Anyone who has been there once will definitely come back.
