In the city of Memmingen, 32 pupils of the Bernhard-Strigel-Gymnasium, the state business school, the Sebastian Lotzer Realschule and the Vöhlin-Gymnasium have worked on a voluntary basis as part of the “Future” project of the Voluntigenagentur Probleman. These young adults have been involved in 24 different facilities, including retirement homes, day care centers, libraries and children's sports clubs.
The Mayor Jan Rothenbacher paid tribute to her and presented the students to the students. He emphasized the importance of voluntary commitment and praised the variety of experiences that the young people gained. This project enables young people to get a taste of volunteering and to expand their social skills.
The project manager for creating a lust, Ursula Keller, shared an Afghan proverb with the students: "Many small people who do many small things in many small places can change the face of the world." This message underlines the importance of the commitment of young people and encourages them to continue to be active.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Memmingen also praised the volunteers: inside and emphasized the importance of social skills. Annalena Haußer said: "The commitment of you in these projects will later benefit you in the professional world. Social skills are essential to master professionally challenges."
The city of Memmingen is proud of the new generation of volunteers and hopes that their commitment can be a role model for other young people. With their work they not only helped the facilities, but also gained valuable experiences for their own lives.
