Artificial intelligence conquers the stage: Music redefined in Memmingen!
Memmingen, Deutschland - A fascinating concert in Memmingen showed how artificial intelligence (AI) can revolutionize classical music. Despite only 30 interested listeners, including composers and instrumentalists, talented students from the Munich University of Music presented impressive works under the direction of the Norwegian composer Torbjorn Heide Arnesen (*1994). Supported by Professor Moritz Eggert and Ali Nikrang, an expert in AI in music, the potential of AI-generated compositions was impressively demonstrated.
The performances included four innovative pieces, including "piano concert", in which a self -playing piano breaks the limits of what is feasible. In “Pictures of a vector room”, the phenomenon was discussed that different results are created from a constant AI prompt. "Negotiation" dealt with the distinction between human and AI-generated content, while "Maze of Data" blurred the boundaries between humans and machines. Professor Nikrang emphasized that the future of music is in the hands of people who decide how to use AI. You can find out more in a detailed report at www.allgaeuer-zeitung.de .
