Children's festival on July 18, 2024: A day full of joy and celebrations

On July 18, 2024, the city of Memmingen is all about the traditional children's festival. Already on the evening before, the Zapfenstreich opened the festive celebrations, followed by an enchanting program on the following day.

The day starts early with a wake -up call that sounds through the streets of the city. Then there are ecumenical services in various churches in which the children of primary schools and funding centers take part.

After the services, everyone gather in the marketplace to open the celebrations. The mayor, representative of the city council, parents and citizens testify to the festive mood.

The program on the marketplace offers a variety of performances, including traditional dances, pieces of music and modern performances. The children inspire the audience with their creative contributions and bring a happy atmosphere to the city.

After the performances, the children go back to schools, where a hearty snack with Schübling and pretzels is waiting for them. In the early afternoon, a pageant provides further entertainment and leads through the picturesque streets and squares of Memmingen.

From 2:00 p.m., the playground in the Memmingen stadium invites you to play out, while the festive celebrations slowly reach its climax.
