International Karate tournament in Ulm: SV Steinheim impressed with a strong appearance
A remarkable event for the karate world recently took place in Ulm: the karate tournament of South Games. Athletes from seven countries met to compete against each other in the Kata and Kumite disciplines. Among the participants were the talented karate checks of SV Steinheim.
The delegation of SV Steinheim e.V. caused a sensation when she took part in the competition with nine young carate athletes. Elija Emanuel Sarraf, the German champion in the school category, was particularly impressive. He won all his fights in both Kata and Kumite and deservedly secured the gold medal in both disciplines.
The entire team of SV Steinheim e.V. presented themselves strongly and determined. Every athlete fought with great commitment and showed his skills. Cristian Dragomir reached the quarter-finals, Levi Diehl convinced in the first fight with a clear 8-0 victory and Rebecca George showed impressive fighting spirit in her first tournament. Marjam Tasan, Matteo Tok, Noel George, Tobias Honold and Jeremiah Hammerstein also fought passionately and brought the club to the international stage.
The tournament was not only a sporting competition, but also an opportunity to establish international relationships and strengthen cultural ties. The organizers set an important sign against right-wing extremism and racism through a photo and poster campaign.
SV Steinheim e.V. was able to show again with his appearance at the tournament that he works successfully in the youth area and also deserves recognition internationally. The event marks another milestone in the history of the club.
