From September 14th to September 22, the 122nd German Hiking Day takes place in the Eichsfeld. This event attracts an estimated 30,000 visitors and relies on the motto "fabulously limitless". The hiking routes lead through breathtaking regions such as the Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal Nature Park and the green band, which runs near the federal states of Hesse and Lower Saxony.
