Shaking flood disaster in the elephant protection park: two dead, many rescuers!

A devastating storm damage has shaken the elephant protection park in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where up to five meters of water died within 24 hours. This natural disaster led to the death of two elephants, a 16-year-old named Phang Fah Sai and a 40-year-old blind elephant named Phloy Thong. Eyewitness reports show the emotional burden of the parking founder, Saengduean "Lek" Chailert, who desperately tried to save their beloved animals while the floods climbed further.

Although 114 of a total of 126 elephants could be saved, nine male animals are still missing in flooded areas. At the same time, the Thai Air Force mobilizes with infrared cameras to search for lost elephants while veterinarians help. This historical flood is part of extreme weather conditions in Thailand, which threatens the park's ecosystem, which also houses numerous other animals. The entire park area is now under water and the restoration of the Sanctuaries could take a lot of time and effort. More information on this is here to find.
