Joey Kelly inspires in Heiligenstadt: An evening full of adventure

Eichsfeld. The region is preparing for a big event that attracts not only hiking friends, but also those interested in nature and history. On the occasion of the German hiking day, extreme athletes and former musician Joey Kelly are expected in Heiligenstadt on September 15th.

Insight into the green band

Joey Kelly will report on his experiences along the green band in the Eichsfeld cultural center. This former border, which has remained unaffected for decades, is now a protected habitat for numerous endangered plant and animal species. Kelly expired the column path in several stages, where he met former border guards and contemporary witnesses that reported on their experiences.

A special nature conservation project

The green band is considered one of the most important nature conservation projects in Germany. Due to the long time of seclusion, a unique ecosystem has developed here, which is of great importance for regional biodiversity. The event not only offers a platform for exchange about nature and environmental protection, but also for a collective memory of the history of German division.

Diverse life image of Joey Kelly

Joey Kelly, known from the pop band "The Kelly Family", has shown many facets in his life. In addition to his music career, he also made a name for himself as an extreme athlete and family man. He documents his experiences in books and television programs, including reality shows such as "7 vs. Wild". The upcoming event will be an opportunity to learn more about its adventures and challenges.
