Wiesbaden do not tame lions: 1860 Wiesn record briefly missed!

The TSV 1860 Munich missed a decisive victory on the 9th matchday of the 3rd division and lost the game against SV Wehen Wiesbaden with 2: 3. The defeat came shortly before the end of the Oktoberfest, where the lions had the chance to surpass the record of three victories in the Oktoberfest Weeks, set up by coach Werner Lorant in the 1998/1999 season. Coach Argirios Giannikis had screwed up expectations to the team after they had won four wins in the previous five games.

Giannikis was able to fall back on almost his entire squad, apart from Raphael Schifferl, who was closed again. Players like Morris Schröter and David Philipp were ready to support the team after they had fully trained last week. Despite the positive tendency in the last games, the record remained outside of its range, which significantly dampened the hopes of further strengthening the balance sheet during the Oktoberfest.
