In the early morning hours of October 5, 2024, a spectacular accident occurred in Waldtrudering. An approximately 35-year-old driver lost control of his Peugeot, raced from the Wasserburger Landstraße and rammed a signaling system and a traffic sign before finally crashed into a tree. The Munich fire brigade was called to the scene of the accident by an automatic Ecall alarm resolution and found a picture of the devastation. Despite the massive damage to the vehicle, the driver and the scene of the accident remained unharmed, which surprised all emergency services.
The fire brigade secured the car and cleaned the road after the police had completed the accident. The accident took about an hour and a half for the road to be released for traffic again.
