Students collect crown cap for children in need - this is how it works!

Benedikt Häckl from Pobenhausen has launched a clever fundraiser that calls students to collect crown corks. Inspired by a radio contribution about the “Sternstunde” association for children in need, Häckl wants to devote a meaningful purpose to devote the crown caps, which often simply land in the yellow sack or disappear in nature. Schools such as the Schrobenhausen Gymnasium and the East primary school in Neuburg have already joined the initiative. From December 3, two containers will be set up for the collection - one in Schrobenhausen and one in Neuburg. The metal closures collected are sold and the proceeds flow to the association.

Although the material value of the collected crown corks is estimated to be only a few hundred euros, Häckl sees the campaign as a "lighthouse project" in order to generate even more attention for donations. In addition, the schools can organize further activities to support “star hours”, such as concerts or flea markets. The students are now motivated to collect their corks in order to help and set an example, reports www.augsburger-allgemeine.de .
