Second sleep leads to spectacular truck accident on A8 near Sindelfingen!

A serious traffic accident on the A8 near Sindelfingen caused massive disorders on Wednesday afternoon. A 31-year-old truck driver apparently suffered a second sleep and lost control of his vehicle, which collided with a lane divider. The tractor -trailer slipped across all three lanes towards Munich and finally came to a standstill.

The insufficiently secured load of the truck meant that a palette with foil rolls fell onto the road and damaged two subsequent vehicles, including an opel of a 20-year-old. The total damage amounts to around 125,000 euros, but fortunately there were no injuries. The highway was temporarily closed, while the fire brigade had to pump the truck's damaged tank. The traffic stops up to 13 kilometers at times, before all lane could be released at around 6:05 p.m., reports www.szbz.de .
