Great progress: St. Ursula schools celebrate successful conversion!

At the St. Ursula schools in Villingen, there is reason to be happy: The third construction phase of the comprehensive renovation of the former monastery building has now been completed. Headmaster Christoph Käfer and architect Martina Münster explained the challenges associated with the strict requirements of the monument office and the fire protection regulations. From the energetic renewal of the historical windows to the installation of fire protection doors that secure the fire section, it was not an easy undertaking.

A total of five million euros have been invested in the renovation since 2015. The most recent stage cost around 2.4 million euros, with grants contributing to maintaining the cultural monument. With redesigned rooms, including classrooms and a lounge area for the day school, the monastery wing is now organically integrated into everyday teaching life. The conversion continues quickly, since the renovations of the outdoor facilities and the creation of a new parking space are due for up to 200 bicycles. As reports www.suedkurier.de , the renovation of the building facades will also be tackled promptly.
