AfD City Councilor in Ulm: Links to the identity movement revealed!
Neu-Ulm, Deutschland - A Ulm AfD City Councilor, Nicolas Brickenstein, is the focus of a scandal that reveals the connection between the AfD and the right-wing extremist identity movement (IB). Officially, the two groups must not be linked, but Brickenstein is said to have organized a reading by the Austrian IB manager Martin Sellner in Neu-Ulm. According to reports, he even controlled the admission to the event, said in the meantime that police officers may be on the way, and was wearing a T-shirt with the IB logo.
While Brickenstein vehemently denies to be a member of the IB, he is seen as a central figure within the association observed by the constitutional protection. The Antifa collective Akku accuses him of supporting the IB's activities and blurring the borders between AfD and IB. They complained in particular with regard to the use of common event rooms, which further illustrate the entanglements of the two organizations. Brickenstein also criticized the massive police operation, which took place at the reading, and described the city's approach as "exposing", while Sellner's book "Remigration" recently appeared in the bestseller lists.
