Sunny future: Ulm and Neu-Ulm rely on photovoltaic expansion!

Ulm, Deutschland - The Stadtwerke Ulm/Neu-Ulm (SWU) start an exciting project to expand photovoltaic systems in Ulm and Neu-Ulm! The first solar systems are already being put into operation this year. With a total output of over 1,000 kWp, more than 250 households in the region can be supplied with green electricity in the future. This initiative is a crucial step towards sustainable energy supply and supports the energy transition in the region.

Currently, solar modules are already being installed at the Breitenhof recycling center and the Markt-Twain primary school in Neu-Ulm, while in Ulm the plans for plants at the Ferdinand-von-Steinbeis School and the construction depot on the Kaltwässerle are progressing. Sun current will soon also be produced on the hydropower plant in Donaustetten and on the e-bus carport! The mayors of both cities are enthusiastic and emphasize the need for such clever projects. "We need more of it!" Said Neu-Ulms OB Katrin Albsteiger, while Ulms OB Martin Ansbacher underlines the importance of clean energy for a city worth living.
