AfD dominates Neubrandenburg: landslide victory in the Oststadt and in the industrial district

New record for the AfD in Neubrandenburg

The AfD was able to win a clear victory in Neubrandenburg according to the recent elections in Neubrandenburg. The residents of the Eastern city and the industrial district chose the party with 30.67 percent, which is a new record for the AfD in this region.

Strong appearance of the CDU and BSW

In addition to the AfD, the CDU and the alliance Sahra Wagenknecht were also able to score with solid results in this election area. According to the provisional counts, the CDU reached 15.48 percent, followed by BSW with 13.88 percent.

Interestingly, there is a significant decline in voter turnout compared to the first ballot on June 9. Only 22.36 percent of those entitled to vote have so far given their vote, which could indicate an increasing disinterest in the elections.
