Bus school in Neubrandenburg: First graders learn to drive safely!

On Monday, 1a of the North Elementary School in Neubrandenburg experienced an exciting and instructive adventure: The dangers of the bus driving were not only explained to the small students, but were made tangible! The municipal utilities announced that the children in the so -called bus school learn important rules of conduct when driving bus - and that without any real danger.

But what does that mean specifically for the first graders? Quite simply: You not only learn how to get safely in and out of the bus, but also the risks that you can take are made clear. "A squeezed foot, a falling child and a whole class in the dead corner - these are just a few of the lessons that our little traffic heroes can experience here," warned the municipal utilities.

The exciting lessons with potatoes and Paul

In order to clarify how quickly a foot can be squeezed under a bus, a little creativity was shown: a potato in the shoe! The children quickly understood that a city bus weighs about as much as three elephants and that it is not an exaggeration if one speaks of serious dangers. Not only the mind, but also the imagination of the students is put to the test here.

Another highlight was the ton Paul, which served as a clear example in a simulated full braking. "Paul falls, flies and hurls through the bus. If a real stop, this could have a cruel consequence!", The Stadtwerke explained and thus ensured many excited faces in the class.

Preparation for exciting traffic adventure

In the coming weeks a total of 550 first graders from the four-goal city can look forward to their own bus school! A new class is introduced into the adventure every day - the concept is well thought out and the preparations are already underway: "A whole sack of potatoes is ready to make the lessons clear," says the Stadtwerke.

At the crowning glory of the bus school, each student receives a certificate, an informative bus driving fibel and a warning vest that you can proudly wear. Security can be so exciting - and the kids in Neubrandenburg are now learning in a playful way!
