Claudine Vita: A dream of Olympic gold and family behind her

Claudine Vita, the talented discus thrower from Fürstenwalde, is about to have a significant moment in her sports career. She is preparing for her second Olympic Games in Paris. In this exciting phase of her life, she reflects on the support of her family, which was crucial for her sporting career.

The way to success: Family support and personal development

The roots of Claudine Vita's success go back to your childhood in a refugee accommodation in Germany. Her family fled from Angola in 1980 because of the civil war. The experiences she had in her youth drive her to realize her dreams in sport. Her parents always believed in them and actively supported them. "For me this is a big drive. I owe so much to my parents," she says.

An important event: Public viewing in Berlin

While Claudine is fighting for top performances in Paris, her family, who lives in Berlin, will strengthen her back. Due to the high costs for the admission tickets, the parents decided not to travel directly to Paris, instead they will cheer on their daughter at the public viewing live. "It's nice to be able to give them back something like that," she explains. Your appearance is pursued with tension because it is your chance to win a medal - as she calls it, the "World Medal".

The sporting career: From Neubrandenburg coaching to Olympionic

Claudines training began under the influence of her first trainer Joachim Weihrich and later under the success coach Dieter Kollark, who is known for producing Olympic champion. "My father wanted me to arrive in the world class one day," she recalls, showing how important the support of her mentors was. Claudine has developed unstoppably in recent years and is now the only German discus thrower who has participated in all international championships since 2018.

The challenges on the way to Paris

Claudine Vita openly speaks about the mental challenges that went hand in hand with the qualification for the Olympic Games. After a disappointing fourth place at the German Championships, she had to fight hard to get hold of the place in German Olympic setting. Despite these challenges, it remains optimistic. "My goal is a place in the top eight," says the 27-year-old.

Outlook and Future Plans

With a focus on the upcoming Olympic competitions, Claudine Vita has also focused on her future. Her contract with the Neubrandenburg sports club expires at the end of the year, but she has already expressed the wish to continue to start for SC Neubrandenburg. "I would still like to start for the SC Neubrandenburg," she says and thus shows her loyalty to her club.

The upcoming Olympic Games in Paris are not only a sporting competition for Claudine Vita, but also recognition for the support of your family and your trainers over the years. Regardless of the result, she would like to share what she has achieved with her family and show them the gratitude they feel for their support.
