The chair of the Citizens for Neubrandenburg, Diana Kuhk, actively campaigns for the protection of birds in the city. Her commitment began with an open letter to the Neubrandenburg University, in which she addressed the problem of disc flights by birds.

In January, black dots were attached to the windows to prevent bird dying. But for cost reasons, this solution had to be rejected in March. Now there is a new variant in the room - the tension of networks. However, this measure also threatens to fail due to financial hurdles.

Diana Kuhk is determined to actively act instead of just criticizing. She would like to donate 100 euros to the university for the purpose of "end bird death" and also encourages other citizens to join the action.

The university has talks with a specialist company from Austria to use adhesive films to prevent bird strokes on glass facades. At the same time, scientific analyzes are carried out on the effectiveness of this method.
