Protest in Neubrandenburg: Citizens defend themselves against rainbow flags ban!

After the controversial decision of the city representatives of Neubrandenburg to banish the rainbow flag from the station forecourt, resistance is stimulated! On October 17th, at 5:30 p.m., the Queernb Association calls on a major demonstration to set a strong sign against intolerance and exclusion. Residents of the city are encouraged to show rainbow flags on windows and balconies in order to promote diversity and acceptance. Among the organizers, Nils Berghof explains that 25,000 people have already signed an online petition for the reversal of the flag!

The decision to no longer hoist the flag followed several incidents in which the rainbow flag was repeatedly removed and replaced by flags with Nazi symbols. Mayor Silvio Witt (independent) expressed that this decision was the result of a long chain of insulting incidents that significantly influenced him.
