Innovative energy self -sufficient for mobile phone masts in the Upper Palatinate

The mobile phone network operator O2 Telefónica has put into operation in Sindlbach, a district of Berg in the Upper Palatinate, the first energy -sufficient mobile policies in Bavaria. This groundbreaking system is supplied by a PV system and a biomethanol fuel cell with regenerative electricity. Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger emphasizes the importance of an advancing mobile phone removal even in rural and remote areas. The energy -strong radio masts are an innovative solution that are particularly advantageous in infrastructure.

This technology is seen as a model for many other locations. The combination of photovoltaics, batteries and fuel cell represents an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution. Bavaria's leading position in the development of innovative solutions in the mobile phone area.

The mobile phone supply in the Upper Palatinate shows that the 4G supply in the area is 99.11%, while 5G supply is 96.36%. Gray spots in which only one network operator offers at least 4G make up 13.90%, while white spots in which no network operator offers at least 4G are only 1.48%.

The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs supports the development of this technology nationwide and promotes the construction of mobile phone masts through its own funding program. The Upper Palatinate leads with 35 funding applications and 17 active funding notices in Bavaria. With six masts and two more in planning, the Upper Palatinate shows a high dynamic in mobile phone expansion. Another five Bavarian funding masts are to be built in the Upper Palatinate this year, followed by Lower Bavaria and Upper Bavaria.

The development of energy -sufficient mobile phone masts and the increased cooperation between the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the network operators are groundbreaking for regenerative energy technology in the mobile phone area. These innovations help to provide the rural and remote areas of Bavaria optimally with high -quality mobile phone supply.
