Temporary and team spirit: The ÖKB assault rifle shooting in Mistelbach

The Comradeship Association ÖKB main area Mistelbach recently organized an exciting assault rifle shooting at the shooting range on Totenhauer. This popular event in cooperation with the Bolfras barracks attracted shooting sports enthusiasts from various age groups who wanted to demonstrate their marksmanship. At a distance of 200 meters, both young talents and experienced shooters had the opportunity to show their skills.

The event was not only a competition, but also an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy a sporting event. Under the direction of main district chairman Walter Kirchsteiger, the organizational team of the ÖKB ensured a smooth process and a warm ambience. It was particularly gratifying that interested children and adolescents were able to take part in a special 100-meter-caliber competition at the nearby Mistelbach shooting club at the same time.

The results in detail

  • children up to 15 years: Leon Schatzinger particularly strong with 48 out of 50 possible points, followed by Julia Koller with 47 and David Raymond with 46 points.
  • young people up to 21 years: Adam Pfanner, who scored the full score (50), sat down in front of Felix Schlinken (49 points) and Sophia Mekul (47 points).
  • women 200 m assault: Here Claudia Pilgram from the ÖKB local association Ginzersdorf won with 93 points, followed by Elissa Bach (78 points) and Michaela Styblo, also with 78 points.
  • Seniors 200 m assault: This category was led by Rudolf Fenz from the Kreuzstetten local association, followed by Franz Höller from Schrick and Herbert Ullmann von Wilfersdorf.
  • men 200 m assault: Franz Weigel from the Wildendürnbach local association secured first place with 94 points, closely followed by Viktor Husarek from Wultendorf and Christian Zand as well as Franz Eschberger, who took third place.
  • Team classification-Association classification: The first team of the Wildendürnbach local association achieved first place with 352 points, followed by their second team with 345 points and the Wilfersdorf-Hobersdorf branch with 337 points.

The award ceremony took place in the cafeteria of the Bolfras barracks Mistelbach. Among other things, the mayor of Mistelbach, Erich Stubenvoll, as well as city councilor Michael Schamann and local council Wolfgang Inhauser were present. Herwig Graf, a high -ranking representative of the barracks, and other invited guests, including bank director Rudolf Riener and Walter Ofenauer, the city association chairman of Mistelbach, contributed to the festive atmosphere of the event.

On the occasion of the shooting, a delegation from Neumarkt was also represented in the Upper Palatinate, which was led by Christian Emmerling. With this international participation, the event showed its importance beyond the region and strengthened the bonds between the comradeship associations.

Overall, the ÖKB's assault rifle shooting was a complete success and not only offered the participants the opportunity to show sporting skills, but also to exchange ideas in a sociable setting. The event has once more demonstrated how important such activities are for cohesion and the joy in sporting activities.
