The tension increases! Tomorrow it is finally time: the Borussia Neunkirchen plunges into the exciting world of the Saar Sparkasse Cup. After the thrilling top game against the 1st FC Saarbrücken, which attracted almost 8,000 fans in stadium, every Borusse knows: The Saarland Cup is very important and the hunt for the title begins in Höchen!

At 7:00 p.m. the first challenge is about: coach Jan Berger and his strong boys meet SV Höchen. This team recently said goodbye to the district league East and now wants to show that they are anything but a weak team in the district league A!

an opponent with ambitions

The SV Höchen, founded in 1920, rose this summer with an impressive 3-0 victory against Bruchhof-Sanddorf. Unfortunately, the team's defense in the district league could not keep up - the team immediately dropped a total of 115 goals in just 34 games. But the hope lives: After a strong start of the season, the Höchener are currently in the 2nd place - tied with the leader Heckendalheim!

After a brilliant 3-0 win against FC Neunkirchen 2021 and another 2-0 against Wellesweiler, there was the first defeat with 2: 3 against Borussia Spiesen on the third matchday. But the boys around coach Christian Schnitzer (45) are back and had a real football festival last weekend! With a spectacular 8: 3 victory over the previously unbeaten DJK Münchwies, they impressively show that they are ready to attack the top!

The offensive forces of SV Höchen sting. Striker William Burkhardt (25) and midfielder Marco Becker (26) each scored five goals and shine on the pitch! In the 2018/19 season, Becker cracked the incredible brand of 41 goals in 23 games. Burkhardt provided 26 goals in 25 games in 2021/22! A strong duo that will challenge Borussia!

The game director Joshua Harz is ready to lead the game. His referee career started in 2016 and since 2024 he has been part of the elite of the Saarland referees. Supported by his assistant Marcel Ernst and Sascha Berwanger, he ensures that everything is fair. We are excited and wish everyone involved a captivating and exciting cup game!
